Skin Treatment at Home…Try out these Home- Made Masks!
Skincare routine is I know very crucial for most of us, but if you are lagging behind due to a super tiring schedule…let me share a few easy immediate masks which you can apply and simultaneously work at home. These masks can be made from off the shelf items and you can substitute with products and items as available. For instance, a substitute for milk can be water or rose water; for lemon juice, it could be only water.
These masks are not for a specific issue or is not a treatment, but a great way to relax your skin and hydrate, and feel fresh. You may feel that they are helping an underlying skin problem which is an experience only if applied regularly.
- Gram flour and milk – Take a small bowl.. add 01 tbsp of gram flour (besan) with 02-03 tbsp of milk. Make a light thin paste that you can easily apply on your face without dripping. If you feel the mask is too thin for application, please add a little more gram flour to the mixture. To this, you can add 01 tsp of honey and a pinch of turmeric for acne or sensitive skin.
NOTE- This mask is perfect to add glow and shine. Also, cleanses your skin effectively.
2. Fuller’s Earth and Rosewater- Take a small bowl..add 01 tbsp of Fuller’s earth (Multani mitti) and 01 tbsp of rose water. You can use regular water too. If there is sandalwood powder available, please do add one tsp of the same.
NOTE- This mask is good for cleansing your face, reduces pore size, and clears black / whiteheads.
3. Tomato and honey- Take a small bowl of tomato juice and add 01 tbsp honey to it. Make sure you use a nice ripe tomato.
NOTE- Amazing alternative for Vitamin-C serum, lightens dark spots and pigments on the face.
4. Potato and Lemon Juice – In a small bowl add shredded potato with one tbsp lemon juice. Mix the mixture well and apply this on your face. The other option is you could mash the potato and mix it with lemon juice.
NOTE- Either of these mixtures is perfect for lightening blemishes on your face. They also help in removing scars and calms inflamed skin.
5. Oatmeal and Yogurt- A bowl of yogurt with one tbsp of oatmeal is a great combination.
NOTE- An anti ageing mask and brightens your skin.
Moreover, these masks prove to be great scrubs, but one needs to be really careful while scrubbing, make sure you use light wet hands. Also, please do not forget to apply moisturizer or a toner post wiping your face clean. Do not run only dab with a soft towel.
Lets keep our skin happy and relaxed while we work from home!
