Self-Healing with Yoga and Its impact on Me!
Here and Now is where Yoga begins. – The Yoga Sutras
“Yoga” is a powerful word that has become a part of our lives even more than before. This form of healing always existed but wasn’t a necessity in our lives. However, now, Yoga is that one thing that we are urged to make a part of our lives. I have always spoken about how we are always busy and have hectic schedules with different kinds of stress and anxiety. We all need that “Me” time to relax our body and de-stress but What about our inner self?
I am fairly new to the asanas of kinds of Yoga but what is important is that it has helped in a vast way. Yoga may not help you lose weight but it surely heals your mind and soul. Yoga takes its own time, you may not notice an immediate change in your body but believe me, if followed religiously it can do wonders.
I have witnessed people getting their physical ailments treated with Yoga when medicines weren’t curing or healing the minds of people when one was ready to give up. Yoga helps in balancing body and mind, it makes you feel good about yourself. Meditation or Dhyana or Pranayama is what is needed to heal your inner-self and I am sure you would feel the difference immediately.
Yoga & Me
I have always practised yoga on and off for years, however, this past year I gave it my complete self. It was hard to concentrate and was frustrating initially but when I committed myself to it I noticed a change. I would not say that it has changed me completely or healed me completely but there is a difference. I feel more positive and calm. I do face anxiety or anger but it taught me to keep control of myself. Yoga makes me happy, it relaxes my mind. I feel empowered and it has strengthened my physical and mental well-being.
“Inhale the Future……Exhale the Past”…Give Yoga a chance and it will add years to your life!
