Shanghai Station and their Service Ethics?

How many of you are huge oriental cuisine fan? Well, it’s my comfort food, I could eat delicious Chinese cuisine any time of the day. My husband and I keep looking out for new restaurants to try and relish good food. Recently, not so new but we decided to try an existing restaurant based in the techno hub of Dubai. They seem to be popular there. Shanghai Station is based at various locations and is quite highly rated in the market. We decided to try them out too. My husband and I visited the restaurant at Dubai Silicon Oasis a few days ago, when we went there they had two…

Are Small Businesses running the show?!

What do you think? Is it a small business or major big brands that have gained confidence in the market? I know there is no comparison; but don’t you think the pandemic has taught us enough. This pandemic (if you notice a silver lining) has forced us to ponder and reflect upon our passion, hobbies either for fun or for generating income. Many of us have suffered financially in some or another way. Since small businesses have come into the picture, we have gained confidence in the same. People selling food, accessories, clothes, etc which is prepared either locally or with the help of family is a much better proposition…don’t…

I have been a huge admirer of her food; there is never a dull moment …Believe me! She has been an active social media personality and has won a lot of appreciation for her work….the best part about the food served in “Its Made with Love”! As my readers are well aware, I look out for small businesses and do my bit to help them thrive in such hard times…these small businesses work on hobbies or passion which reflects…

    The Greek way of Life!

Since I have been away for too long I must share with my readers that I have been traveling and living my life in Greece! It was a much-needed break after the turmoil we all went through because of the pandemic. Greece, one of the most beautiful country ….the weather …the food…..its beauty ….or its culture……Greece is a must-visit for its people! This country really believes in “Guest is God”…the term I learned in the hospitality industry. Every town or city or a small village in Greece really knows how to treat its visitors well. One of the most unique ways of showing their love was through their food. It…

Folklores – Artisan tales…Beautiful Handcrafted Jewellery at your doorstep!

We have all appreciated and found comfort in the brands that we love, but there is so much more out there. These are small businesses that most of us don’t know exist and sell exclusive products mostly hand-made or self-designed. These products (as per my experience) are always reasonably priced and only seek out appreciation or financial help. The effort put into these businesses is genuine and the aim is to live in between the competition and provide the best of their capability. I have always supported the new small businesses be it the “Barefood Healthy Snacks” or Folklores…they always have so much to offer. The best part about them…

A simple “Sales Technique” that would make a difference…

Its not about having the right opportunities. Its about handling the opprtunities right. – Mark Hunter Every organization follows a “Sales” process, well, not only organizations, in fact, every individual follows a “Sales” technique or process. What is yours? I am sure every person has a sales skill and a unique way to implement it, it’s only you who can figure that out. However, let me share with you a fairly simple but the most essential tool/technique that is the core of every business. Do your SWOT analysis before you start selling. SWOT? SWOT stands for “Strengths”, “Weaknesses”, “Opportunities” and “Threats”. These are four integral points that need no explanation…

Another Unique Hidden Gem- Tannoureen Bakery Restaurant!

Dubai Silicon Oasis is a hub for restaurants and not just the regular cafes but fancy pocket-friendly restaurants serving food from around the world and to suit every palate! One such recently opened bakery restaurant is “Tannoureen”. Ambience A warm contemporary-themed bakery restaurant has a lavish display of baked items that are a treat to see. You can try numerous options and would still want more. I personally loved their Zatar breadsticks that are healthy and delicious for snacking. You can spend hours in the restaurant for its cozy feel. Food I haven’t tasted better Middle Eastern food in any restaurants or cafeterias. Every bite has a unique flavor and…

    Another Insight on Luxury!

In one of my previous posts, I had shared my point of view on “Luxury”…however, I feel that I had a little more to add to the world of hospitality. In a high-octane Sporting Event, a spectator gets a Thrilling feel. In a Desert Safari, a participant gets an Adventurous feel. In a Meditation center, you would feel Sublime. So what is a heightened feel in a hotel? It is Luxury or Luxe. Yes, all the senses should experience “Luxury”. From the welcome to Check-in, from the Bell-Hop to the Elevator attendant, the well-appointed Suite to the voice answering the intercom…From the Maitre D’Hotel… to the gastronomical delight in Speciality…

Damac Hills (2) Community and its Greenhouse!

We recently moved to DAMAC Hills (2) by Damac. It is located at the Al Qudra road (the most convenient landmark). A beautifully designed community with smartly constructed villas and well-defined clusters. This community is pretty self-sufficient and a well-defined plan is still in progress. We have a community center….a golf course…a dog park (where do you find that in communities…only for dogs! One of my favorite places). There are grounds for each kind of sports and numerous swimming pools with activities. Another favorite location for me, an amateur fitness enthusiast, is the enormous gym with types of equipment that you name and it is there! All in all, a…

An Oasis in the Desert…The Farm, Al Barari

Well, not really a farm but yes a densely green part of UAE is the Al Barari area. The restaurant “The Farm” is designed beautifully with green pathways and bridges connecting a man-made water body to the green part of the restaurant. Ambience Sections are designated within the restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor areas, but my suggestion…the outdoor is better. Not the best decision to visit the restaurant in the summer months, however, it is really beautiful in winters and early summer. Food They serve global cuisine, have a lot of variety that I am sure the menu is designed for guests with all preferences and tastes. As…
