It’s time to Lead through times of Uncertainty and Change!

It is always said that challenges make our lives interesting but does this hold in the current scenario? The pandemic has been an enormous challenge and for some of us, its changed our lives inevitably. Did we foresee this? Did we know things in our lives would change? Were we at fault? Why did we go through this? These questions pass our minds every day, and I am sure some of us have questions that have affected our mental health. Everyone today has had an experience this past year that may have either affected them today or may leave a scar for the rest of their lives. But, are we…

Blueberry Teacakes Recipe…that always takes me back to my childhood!

Whether on a diet or not, snacking during the day for me is a must! My Mother prepared exquisite healthy and scrumptious recipes and took delight in them. I love desserts and this recipe is straight from my Mother’s kitchen and a bit improvised by me……. Let’s begin with the recipe; Wet Ingredients Egg- 01 Large Sugar – 1/2 cup or 3/4 cup (Finely granulated / Demerara sugar / Caster Sugar)- In case not available, regular home sugar can be used too. Are Making Videos a Better Proposition than penning down thoughts?

With the technology booming and the never-ending pandemic, our lives have become addicted to a lifestyle involving technology in all aspects. I am a person who was never a social media fan and look at me now, I am striving and strategically cultivating ways to bring in followers to my Instagram account. (Believe me, a situation I never thought I would be in!). YouTube a platform that has been quite effective in reaching out to millions of viewers since they can view or subscribe to what they like. It’s also a faster mode of knowing and getting an answer. Unlike a blog, viewing is expected to be more efficient in…

    Another Insight on Luxury!

In one of my previous posts, I had shared my point of view on “Luxury”…however, I feel that I had a little more to add to the world of hospitality. In a high-octane Sporting Event, a spectator gets a Thrilling feel. In a Desert Safari, a participant gets an Adventurous feel. In a Meditation center, you would feel Sublime. So what is a heightened feel in a hotel? It is Luxury or Luxe. Yes, all the senses should experience “Luxury”. From the welcome to Check-in, from the Bell-Hop to the Elevator attendant, the well-appointed Suite to the voice answering the intercom…From the Maitre D’Hotel… to the gastronomical delight in Speciality…

Damac Hills (2) Community and its Greenhouse!

We recently moved to DAMAC Hills (2) by Damac. It is located at the Al Qudra road (the most convenient landmark). A beautifully designed community with smartly constructed villas and well-defined clusters. This community is pretty self-sufficient and a well-defined plan is still in progress. We have a community center….a golf course…a dog park (where do you find that in communities…only for dogs! One of my favorite places). There are grounds for each kind of sports and numerous swimming pools with activities. Another favorite location for me, an amateur fitness enthusiast, is the enormous gym with types of equipment that you name and it is there! All in all, a…

Walk your Way to Better Lifestyle!!

An early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day – Henry David Thoreau. I would not call myself a gym or workout enthusiast but the current pandemic scenario has changed my perspective about exercising and after trying almost everything, I believe and really encourage walking! Walking may sound simple and those who are looking at shedding a few pounds may feel it be a waste of time or effort since it’s simple and takes its own time. But let me tell you, it’s not always about losing weight. You may gym rigorously for a few days and diet but does that give you inner happiness. If it does,…

Internships or Volunteer Work…Their role in the corporate world!

Corporate World….Survival of the Fittest! Does it really help to be a part of volunteer work or internships even though you have experience and carry a great CV with numerous accreditations…if you ask me…Yes! I strongly believe there is no age assigned for any work. But there are other factors which I really wanted to put forward. I know this blog is very different from my regulars, but I recently came across a situation that made me ponder the necessity of “Internships” and “Volunteer work”. I was part of various volunteer assignments in India, but I believe that is what we call “CSR”. However, I noticed that here in Dubai,…
